Simply the best pub in Blackburn
As the title suggests, this is the best pub in the area. Great ale, great staff, great food and great atmosphere. Always something going on. Keep up the good work guys..Just stopped off for one but ended up staying longer , very nice comfortable pub worth a visit.

Family birthday
The staff were very helpful on arrival by holding the door open as some of our party had mobility issues. Very welcoming. Busy pub but staff very efficient without rushing guests to choose food or drink. Excellent food. Good sized portions. Had salmon and prawn cocktail. Duck chorizo salad and goats cheese parcel. Mains were beef and mushrooms pot pie and thai salmon salad. Very tasty.

Not worth the money - not a luxury experience.
The Leisure facilities were not what we were expecting for a "spa" more like the local swimming pool. The prices in the restaurant were not reflective of the food or service. The room was like a premier inn but the bedding was ancient. The spa treatments were not luxury, the staff were nice, but £42 nails were all smudged on the way out as we were moved along before they dried. By this point we had already decided we were never going back and had another event to go to so left.

Won't be back!
Booked a table here a week prior for the first time available, 5pm. Bearing in mind I have a child that needs to do the whole routine for school, we walk in at 4:51pm to be told that it will be at least 15-20 minutes before we get our table. The poor waitress was apologetic, but the manager was not and the girl who told us the bad news at the till couldn’t care less . We used to visit this pub regularly, but this is the second time in a row we’ve had an issue with them.

Absolutely superb
Myself, wife and daughter are vegan and they made a separate mini buffet for us on a separate table. The food was the best I have ever had for a buffet in a pub. Homemade pizza, garlic bread, salad, spring rolls and an amazing tomato soup. Everything was delicious. Really cannot fault this pub, brilliant and please visit for superb food, great beer choice and friendly smiling faces…perfect.
